Understand the algebra forms, relations, functions, an linear equations.

B. Basic of Competence :

Determining gradient, straight line equation, and straight line graph.

C. Indicator :

1. Determine the equation of straight line which passing one point by certain of gradient.

2. Determine the equation of straight line which passing two point by certain of gradient.

3. Determining equation of straight lines passing through a given point and parallel to the other straight lines.

4. Determining equation of straight lines passing through a given point and perpendicular to the other straight lines. .

D. Time allocation : 2 x 40 minutes

E. Learning achievement :

After studying this lesson, student will be able to :

a. Determine equations of straight line if one points and gradient are know.

b. Determine the equation of straight line if two points that passed are know.

c. Determine equation of straight lines that through a give point and parallel to the other straight line.

d. Determine equation of straight lines that through a give point and perpendicular to the other straight line.

Main activities :

a. Explain how to find gradient of straight line if two points that through are known

b. Explain how to find gradient of straight line if one point and a gradient are known

c. Explain equation of straight line passing through a given point and parallel to the other straight line.

d. Explain equation of straight line passing through a given point and perpendicular to the other straight line

e. In pairs, student discuss some exercises.

Closing :

a. Teacher guides student to make conclusion.

1. Determine the equation of straight line has gradient 3 and through point (4,-2)

2. Determine the equation of straight line that through point A (-4,7) and point      B(-3,-1)

3. Determine the equation of straight line parallel to the line 3x + 4y = 20 and passes through the point (2,6).

4. Determine the equation of straight line perpendicular to the line y = 3x + 41 and passes through the point (2,5).
